WE HAVE ARRIVED

Well, it has happened. velocache.net is now a fully operational battle station. Prepare yourselves.

Before I digress, which I am known to do, let me start off by giving some credit and handing out some thanks. This would not have happened without you all. You know who you are. Thank you. The new site would not be in existance without Buttars, if you run into him, give him a hug and buy him a beer. HUGE thank yous to the veterans out there who have kept this afloat in times of trouble and triumph...I have personal things to say to you that will have to wait until we have a face to face.

At the pokercache party on September 19 I would really like to take a bit of all of your time and preach a little about "the game". We'll see, I will probably just get drunk and cry a lot.

SO. Go to the site. Familiarize yourself. It is different than the one we play on now but can do all of the things we do now AND MUCH MUCH MORE. You will need to create an account. It is free and always will be for players. I realize some of you have already been in and have looked around but it is time for everyone to come on board. Texting from a phone to the site works. E-mailing too. There is a great forum feature that we can all cache ourselves in as well. This site is still in beta. It is not finished so now is the time to see if we can break it.

For now, play around. Posting "real" caches is not off limits but I think it might serve us better to get really comfortable with the new toy before we go "live". Post pictures of your cats and dogs. Go to the forum and talk about bikes. Have fun.

LOVE to you all. -A. Mortician

meet greet and DRINK

Maxwell T.K. (Team Bikes & Rec Jr. Division) drew these pictures and it has EVERYTHING to do with Saturday, April 18. Watch the site and the subsequent tweets so you can partake in a shindig that is a VELOCACHE MEET&GREET. More later. Remember the Fucking bike club? Yeah, we need a touch of their styles...How far do ya think we need to ride to kill 10 gallons of beer? We will find out!

What a Great day for a cache ride. I used to hang out here every day all summer long in my teens. Ahhh the good old days. GOOOOOOOO!!!

i set off to get 248a. hammered up both bench hills. legs were a little weak with the overkill of an hour on the elliptical this morning but i hammered never the less. arrived at said location just as my bike basket breaks. get it rigged back together then look for cache. no where to be found. bummed and no one posted they found it. bastards....so i hop on old cruiser to grab 232. just get down hill on orchard and my frickin front wheel falls off! seriously! nice man on bike helps get it put back on and tightened up. i ride the next mile and grab 232! the pisser to 232 is that damn tower is actually in the photo i took for 246. damn it all!

the positives of this story....no one was injured while snagging cache, people on bikes are nice, good thing gypsy P didn't get a flat from the goat heads since he left his bike pump in the cache, i have definitely already burned all the beer calories i will now consume after that crazy, convoluted route!

Holy S%IT!!! Props to the Stasher on this one. What a trilling ride down with only 1 brake
, oh ya and a special thanks to Leil of letting it slip that it could be by his house. If I hadn't caught that I would have been sorely disappointed when I got to Drycreek which is where I was heading when I read his comment. Great stash.. So great that I re-stashed it for 255

Wow, what a day. We had hail, snow, 75 mph winds, a guy at the Lucky Dog who really wanted to use the ring on Jake's messenger bag as a cock ring, margaritas with Hyena and the largest fried Mexican food platter picked out by the Gypsy Kid (we are all bloated pigs now), more snow and now a nite of watching movies and getting warm.
We love this game.

Excuuuuse me Leil... That was found by Ma and Pa Gypsy thank you very much. Although since we dont have children and Ma makes me sound old, I'm going back to Aly-Isis-Gypsy-Queen.
We were gonna go to Bogus today but then heard Superior was closed due to high winds, didnt even cross our minds that the fu*$kin wind would be that bad here. The ride out Boise Ave. was fun, it was almost like a little treasure hunt in and of itself looking at all of the Oregon Trail monuments then we found the cache got all giddy and started the hellacious ride home. The wind literally almost blew us off our bikes a few times. I lost about 5 gallons of snot. Thanks Jake for not being upset every time I farmer blew back at you :)
And thanks for the treasures, we got a sweet beer coozie, a pabst, a funky glove, a bitchin man-ring, bottle opener, necklace and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

Couldn't get very good pics in the dark. Found on the greenbelt on the south side of the river, west of veterans parkway. A certain poetic perfection to the fact that it was raining when it was dropped, and when it was found.
